About Us

“Everyday objects are so often beautiful, yet all too often overlooked. "

Founded in 2011, Lonetree is the brainchild of two sisters, Emma Bensalem and Sara Hall.

Taking time out from a career as a practicing architect to have her daughter provided Emma with the perfect opportunity to indulge her passion for photography and printing; happily, this change in direction coincided with her sister Sara’s relocation from London, where she had been working as a fine food buyer. It did not take them both long to realise that the combination of their skills would be a recipe for success – and so Lonetree was born.

Lonetree now has a faithful following, including some wonderful stores and galleries, such as Liberty of London, The Conran Shop, The National Maritime Museum, not to mention many lovely independent stores in the UK and abroad.

Owing to their success in the world of paper Lonetree have also launched, in 2015, their Design Hub where many of their collections can now be accessed by customers to use on other lifestyle products, from ceramics and textiles to prints and stationery, as well as offering an independent design service to companies looking for product and packaging artwork.

Design

Lonetree takes its inspiration from life and at its heart is the capture of everyday objects and their interpretation to create beautiful and dynamic designs that are then applied to the median of paper.

"As "cameleon designers" we enjoy working with photography, illustration, painting and line drawing in equal measure and we hope this offers a unique and intelligent mix of artwork."

Printing and Paper

All Lonetree’s cards are printed on beautiful 324gsm FSC accredited matt cream textured board, manufactured with 100% wind power. Each card is supplied with a matching luxury cream or coloured envelope and presented in a branded hot foil cellophane.

Environmental Credentials

All our cards and envelopes are made out of FSC accredited paper stock that has been produced using 100% wind power. Our printing is done by a UK printer who can boast to have been the fourth company in the Sunday Times Green List as well as the first carbon neutral printer in the World with over 99% of their dry waste being diverted from landfill - pretty good going we say! We know that we can always do more and although we are only a little company we continue to look at ways in which we can improve our environmental footprint.
